Since the beginning of her singing career, Agnès Ménard has found success in both opera and recital. Her first role was Bettina in Andran’s La Mascotte with the French company l’Arsenal d’Apparition. Upon completion of her studies in France with Anne Constantin, she relocated to Montreal, Canada, to study at the Université de Montréal under the tutelage of Rosemarie Landry. With the UdeM orchestra, she sang the roles of Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Gabrielle (La Vie Parisienne), and Elettra (Idomeneo). She also performed the roles of Venus (Venus and Adonis), Diane (Acteon) and The Plaint (The Fairy Queen) with the UdeM Baroque Orchestra.

In 2021, Agnès was awarded first prize in the Abbé Gadbois bursary competition as well as the Ratycz Myre bursary offered by the Opéra Bouffe de Québec. In 2018, alongside pianist Basil Vandervort-Charbonneau, she created the “Duo Nox” and presented recitals of lieder and mélodies in France and in Canada. Agnès was selected to compete in the Nadia et Lili Boulanger international competition in Paris in 2019. In preparation for this competition, she participated in the Académie Francis Poulenc in Tours, France, under the direction of François Leroux, Ingrid Perruche and the pianists Jeff Cohen and Christian Ivaldi.

Since 2020, Agnès has collaborated frequently with Anthony Manoli, vocal coach from New York. She has taken part in masterclasses directed by Nathalie Paulin, Benjamin Butterfield, and Christian Immler. In 2021, she completed her PhD entitled “Sans rien souligner et cependant rien dissimuler” Trois poèmes de Louise de Vilmorin de Francis Poulenc, une étude pour l’interprétation vocale de ces mélodies, studying 3 songs by Poulenc, under the direction of Rosemarie Landry.
